2020 Footage of This Remarkable Stallion
From the Trainer, JP Giacomini:
Totil Hit by the great Totilas (out of a Sandro Hit/Wolkenstein II/Donnerhall/Pik Bube mare) is a particularly elegant stallion of great beauty and intelligence. His genetic background brings together a series of very important dressage sires who have all left their indelible mark on dressage breeding worldwide. His mother has been a consistent producer of high quality dressage horses.
His remarkable conformation combines a naturally arched neck, a very strong back and a powerful hind end, as well as absolutely correct legs.
Totil Hit playful nature, natural curiosity and his interest in people makes him extremely trainable. At the end of his 3 year old year, he has become a serious and respectful stallion who learns fast and retains well.
Totil Hit’s gaits are excellent: a long-strided walk with a clear 4 beat rhythm, a powerful trot with a lot of natural suspension and a particularly well balanced canter that is always uphill.
Totil Hit is destined to be an important stallion on the American breeding scene and I believe that mares of many different breeds will benefit from crossing with him. I am certainly planning to breed him to some of my best mares for the 2016 season.

An article regarding JP written by Michel Henriquet:
The inventor of the EndotappingTM Method, Jean Philippe (JP) Giacomini, a French ecuyer living in the USA, was in France in March 2014 to present the results of his research on the education and the biomechanics of the horse.
JP gave a 3 day clinic at “La Panetiere” in Autouillet near Paris, the stables of 2013 French Dressage Champion Catherine and her husband and coach Michel Henriquet. Mr. Henriquet, a famed equestrian scholar and author, dressage trainer and premier disciple of Master Nuno Oliveira, gives us his impressions of this innovative training method used to prepare horses for classical dressage and practically any other equestrian sport. JP Giacomini provides us with details of its technical background. by JP Leon, riding instructeur, sport professor & organizer of the clinic.
I noticed Jean Philippe because of his sharp curiosity, obvious intelligence and great determination. I directed him toward the Master in Portugal where he spent a few years, first with Oliveira himself and later with Dom Jose Athayde [Founding Head Rider of the Portuguese School] at the National Stud of Alter [where the horses of the School are raised]. After a stay in England where he trained international sport horses with great success, he settled finally in the USA.
He is a man that studies the writings of ancient masters as well as modern science in Michel Henriquet:
"I have known Jean Philippe Giacomini for about 50 years. He first visited me at my stables in Bailly with his mentor Georges Caubet, recently departed. He assured me that it was on that occasion that he started his quest for a horsemanship marked by balance, impulsion and lightness which he has pursued his entire career. This happened a few years after my discovery of the existence and talent of Master Nuno Oliveira. A number of the young riders who came by my riding arena after 1965 were looking for a path between the vacuum of French dressage and the heaviness of the German style."
